Meeting the Mayor of Nyborg

Welcoming at the town hall
Monday the 7th September our guests from Uganda were welcomed at the town hall in Nyborg. In the pictures you can see that our guests were given the seats of honour in the council chamber. There were representatives from the town councillor, Unicef, Danish School Athletics, host classes of the schools in Ørbæk and Skellerup, their leaders, teachers, and parents.
A lot of speeches were given. Finally Trevor thanked – he is the leader of The Kids Leage in Uganda which is the organization that in co-operation with Unicef have arranged the arrangement.
Trevor finished by presenting a hat made of fibre wood to the mayor Jørgen Terndrup.
Modtagelse på rådhuset
Mandag d. 7. sept. blev vores ugandiske gæster modtaget på Nyborg rådhus. Som det ses på billederne fik gæsterne ærespladserne i byrådssalen.
Der var repræsentanter fra byrådet, Unicef, Dansk skoleidræt. Ørbæk og Skellerup skolers værtsklasser, deres ledere og lærere og forældre.
Der blev holdt mange taler. Til sidst takkede Trevor – lederen af The Kids Leage i Uganda, som er den organisation der i samarbejde med Unicef har stået for hele arrangementet.
Trevor sluttede med at overrække en hat lavet af træfiber til borgmester Jørgen Terndrup.
